the popular Greek Feta and others imported from Cyprus, Spain
and France. Olives are always on hand in a variety of tastes,
sizes, and colors. Our large selection of spices is hard to
find elsewhere.

I began visiting the store in the early 60's. I grew up in Sewickley
and one of my best friend's grandfather was Marshall George.
He and his family would include me in to the Strip to purchase
their wonderful hummus, grapeleaves, spinach pies, Feta, Pita
bread and Olive Oil.
The family was from Syria and Lebanon and they came to Stamoolis
for the freshest and the best that they could find in the city.
Mr. Stamoolis would give advice about the food and information
on the different kinds of Olive Oil and I admired his expertise
about all of the food in the store.
Still today after all of these years the store still has the
same wonderful quality of food and the same Stamoolis friendly,
pleasant atmosphere. I now visit the store from the Fox Chapel
area to buy for my Mediterranean meals for my family and I look
forward to every visit there. On my most recent visit I purchased
"French Feta" which is absolutely wonderful and I was educated
on the three kinds of FETA so that I could make my selection.
I of course purchased all three Feta cheeses as they are all
so good. Pittsburgh and the Strip is fortunate to have the STAMOOLIS
BROTHERS and their family still in business in the strip. It
is always a pleasure to visit there.
